The members of the Canaan Fire Company provide a safe and rapid response to any request for help and assistance 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Our training and experience in handling these incidents ensure the safety of the residents of North Canaan and beyond.  Volunteering during a pandemic has put a strain on our members and forced them to train for new situations and have a detailed eye on their safety and responses to every emergency. New personal protective equipment needs, sanitizing options and training have been implemented across our membership.                                                                                                                

  Another challenge is fundraising efforts. Due to the constraints of social distancing, we are unable to hold any of our regularly scheduled fundraising events.                                                            

We are reaching out to the community for support. Today, while it is fresh in your mind, we ask that you consider making a tax-deductible donation to support us. Remember that you will never receive a bill for our services. We recognize how difficult these times are for everyone and appreciate any contribution you can make at this time.
